Jen Ramachandran, MSW, MAT, ASDCS
Life is a journey and I believe we are all here to learn and grow. There will be times in each of our lives when things become too difficult to manage on our own. In these times we need a trusting, caring, non-judgemental ear to listen and help guide us on our way. My belief is that we all have the internal knowledge of what is best for us. I believe in working collaboratively with my clients and creating a safe space for growth and transformation.

I have a passion for working with children, families and adults on the Autism Spectrum and with other Neurodevelopmental differences. Additionally, I have extensive knowledge working with children and teens who have suffered emotional, physical, and sexual trauma. I utilize evidence based practices in my work and incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Emotion Focused and Somatic Therapies.

I am certified in ADOS-2 testing for the clinical assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. I was trained under the direction and supervision of Dr. Norman Geller. I hold certification as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist, and am an alumni of the VCU, VA-LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Differences) program. I received my Masters in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and am currently under clinical supervision while working toward my LCSW. Additionally, I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching from Mary Baldwin University and worked as an elementary teacher for 10 years.
